THE NOMINATION PROCESS

Every member is encouraged to submit nominations along with sufficient biographical information on the nominee to allow the Board of Directors to make an informed decision on their eligibility.

IMPORTANT

The likelihood that your nomination will be selected as a candidate is directly affected by the amount of material submitted with the nomination. To increase your nominee's chance of being selected, send complete bio information, pictures, and audio. We can, and will return material upon  request. We start new each year, so a nomination made in the past will receive no consideration, unless resubmitted with sufficient collateral material.

The categories are Legacy (no longer living) and Career Achievement (living). Nominations may be submitted at anytime, however, members may only nominate one person for each category, per calendar year. The deadline for submissions for a calendar year is April 1st.

Nominations must be submitted my mail, using this nomination form.

Email nominations will not be considered

THE VOTING PROCESS

Official ballots will be mailed to members on June 1st of each year. Only official ballots mailed to the specified certified accounting firm by the announced deadline  will be counted. Members may vote for three candidates in each category. No write in votes will be counted. Only ballots containing three votes per category will be counted. In case of tie, ballots with the earliest postmarks will be used to break a tie.

INDUCTION

The number of inductees annually will be up to, but no more than 8 Legacy Inductees and 8 Career Achievement Inductees. Additionally, there are two special awards (not necessarily given each year): The Elmo Ellis Award Spirit Award and the Founder and Directors Award; both are selected by the GRHoF board of directors. In addition to being inducted, recipients or their representatives will receive a special memento.

Families of individuals selected as Legacy inductees will be notified in advance. Names of each year’s Legacy inductees will be announced on August 1st each year. Names of Career Achievement inductees will be kept confidential until the evening of the Awards program.
